TERM 3 2022 Kia ora koutou! We have started back to mid winter term! We want to encourage our whanau to continue to send your children to school everyday. We have so many new and exciting learning experiences prepared for our tamariki and it starts with coming to school every day and on time. STUDENT ATTENDANCE We are making good progress with students that are present daily and are engaged in their learning. Please send your children to school regularly and on time. The staff at Robertson are hard working and strive to achieve the best outcomes for students. WHANAU CONNECT We encourage you to attend our WhanauConnect meetings. These meetings empower you to support your child’s learning at home. Congratulations to the numerous families that attend these meetings. Principal's Post: Welcome to term 2!

TERM 2 2022 Kia ora koutou Welcome to Term 2! We have started our year on a good note with numbers of returning students and whanau increasing each week. Let’s continue with that attitude and get all our kids back into classrooms. Our first online parent/caregiver interviews was a success – thank you for stepping out into the digital space to find out about your child’s learning. WhanauConnect is our new parent/caregiver domain. We will be holding our first WhanauConnect hui in Week 3 so watch this space. In the meantime, I want to assure you that RRS staff are ready and waiting to serve your children and you as a community as a whole. We look forward to seeing you this coming week! Principal's Post 3rd December 2021

FRI 3 DECEMBER TRAFFIC LIGHT PROTECTION FRAMEWORK Kia ora RRS Whanau It has been difficult to navigate teaching and learning in these times. Having 2 positive cases at the start of level 3.2 was not the way we wanted to start back. However, with the stringent processes that we had implemented – RRS was able to mitigate any further spread. There was no full school closure and we were able to close down areas affected and have our staff and students checked in with Ministry of Health services. Bubble school continued and we adjusted successfully. We are now operating in the Covid Traffic Light Protection Framework. School will still remain in the bubble style format. This means no student can attend without registration. We are wanting to keep our students and communities safe and we believe to operate in the bubble format is the safest option. Prizegiving ceremonies will be carried out online on Wed 15th December @ 11am. Each syndicate will have their link and you will be able to join w...

Principal's Post 24 Nov 2021

24 NOVEMBER 2021 COVID POSITIVE NOTIFICATION Kia ora RRS Whanau In the past week we have had notification from the Ministry concerning 2 positive covid cases.  Each within differing timeframes.   As a school we must adhere and follow strict guidelines around notification of our school community.   Robertson Rd is currently operating under the Bubble Zoning framework – of which our community has been aware of since alert level 3.2.  Families were required to register if student(s) were to attend.  All families who had registered their child(ren) for bubble school have been contacted as per MOH guidelines.  We have since followed all protocols and 2 bubbles have been shut down; all families and staff have been contacted  and the deep cleaning process completed.   School  is still open with the remaining bubbles safely operating.  All learning continues  via online. We have been and continue to  be vigilant in our a...

Principal's Post 20 November 2021

20 NOVEMBER 2021 https://fb.watch/9nRowRsOTb/ NOVEMBER 2021 Kia ora RRS Whanau These have been difficult times for our Mangere East communities who have weathered very turbulent times with the Delta Covid 19 strain.    Our RRS staff have worked tirelessly to support our students throughout these past 3 months and we continue to do so. This week we see the reopening of primary schools throughout Auckland.  For RRS this is a brand new step in the right direction to ensure that our students can have some sense of normality before the end of 2021.  This is particularly so for our Year 8s.  We hope to see the majority of them return to see out what is left of this year. Wednesday 17 November sees the beginning of our Bubble Zones.  We have logistically planned for health and safety following closely to the MOE and MOH covid response guidelines.  Please make reference to our information video. We hope that you will consider sending your students back ...
